Privacy policy
introduction
Inside Job (ABN: 46 694 320 217) (Inside Job, we, us and our) understand that your privacy is paramount and we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy sets out how we handle information about you. We may modify or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time and will publish any updated version of this Privacy Policy on our website when we do. This Privacy Policy was last updated on 24/07/2026. Unless you notify us otherwise, we will assume that you have consented to the collection of all information which is provided to us for use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
collection of personal information
Personal information is information or an opinion about an individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether true or not and whether recorded in material form or not.
We may collect personal information from you when you:
-
participate in any event, promotion or competition organised or run by us;
-
buy any goods from us, we will collect the personal information you provide to us during the ordering process or in the course of the purchase (such as checkout forms, newsletter sign-ups, contact forms etc.);
-
visit our website; or
-
contact us by any method, such as telephone, email, post, facsimile or in person, or otherwise as notified to you from time to time.
The personal information you provide to us may vary depending on the nature of your interaction with us, but may for example include your name, date of birth, contact details, address, payment information (via third-party processors such as Shopify Payments, PayPal etc.), your browsing and shopping activity on our Website (including the pages and products you view, searches you run, items you add to or leave in your cart, and orders you start or complete), technical information such as cookies, IP address and device type, your interests in our products or events, and any communications you send to us.
There may be occasions when we collect information about you from a third party. In such instances, we will determine whether we would have been entitled to collect such information from you and to the extent we would not have been entitled to do so, we will destroy or de-identify such information as soon as reasonably practicable.
Where possible, we will allow you to interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. For example, if you contact us with a general enquiry, we will not ask for your name unless we need it to adequately handle your enquiry.
However, for most of our functions and activities we usually need your name and contact information.
our website
Our web servers may automatically collect information when you visit our websites, including:
-
your IP address;
-
the date and time of your visit;
-
the parts of our website you access during your visit;
-
your actions on our website; and
-
the browser you are using.
In using our websites, your personal information may be collected through the use
of cookies (for analytics, ads, etc.). These are small text files placed on your mobile device or computer by our websites which automatically collect information about you without you providing that information to us directly. Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies. However, if you do not wish to receive any cookies you may set your browser to either prompt you whether you wish to accept cookies on a particular site, or by default reject cookies.
Please note that rejecting cookies may mean that some or all of the functions on our website will not be available to you.
We track how you use our Website, not simply how many people visit it. Using cookies, pixels and similar technologies placed by us and by our service providers Google and Klaviyo, we record activity including: the pages and product pages you view; searches you run on our Website; products you add to, remove from or leave in your cart; carts you abandon without completing an order; orders you begin and complete; and whether you open or click links in emails we send you.
Where you are identifiable to us — for example because you have subscribed to our mailing list, created an account, or placed an order — this activity is linked to you as an individual rather than collected anonymously. We use it to understand how our Website is performing, to improve it, and to send you relevant messages such as a reminder about a cart you left behind. You can limit this tracking through your browser cookie settings, and you can stop marketing messages at any time by unsubscribing.
Sometimes our websites contain links to other websites. When you access a website other than our websites, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of that site. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of each website you visit.
Our Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information about how visitors use our Website, including the pages you view, how long you spend on the site, the source that referred you, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. This information is generally transmitted to and stored on Google servers, including servers located in the United States. We use it in aggregate to understand how our Website is performing. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We also use the Google & YouTube sales channel, and may use Google Ads. Through these services we may share our product catalogue information with Google, and Google may collect information about your activity on our Website — such as the products you view and the purchases you complete — in order to measure the performance of our advertising, list our products across Google services including Google Search, Google Shopping and YouTube, and show you advertising for our products on those services. This may involve cookies and advertising identifiers set by Google and YouTube, including where our Website embeds YouTube video content. You can review and adjust the advertising Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com.
We use Klaviyo, an email marketing platform provided by Klaviyo, Inc., to manage our mailing list and to send marketing and transactional messages. Where you subscribe to our mailing list, create an account, or place an order, we share information including your name, email address and order history with Klaviyo. Klaviyo also uses cookies and tracking pixels to record whether you have opened or clicked one of our emails, and to record your browsing, product views, searches and cart activity on our Website so that we can send you relevant messages such as abandoned cart reminders. Klaviyo processes and stores this information in the United States.
You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by contacting us. We action unsubscribe requests promptly. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional messages such as order confirmations and dispatch notifications, which we need to send in order to fulfil your order.
why we use it
The personal information that we collect is generally used to provide products or services to you, and, if you use our website, to track your usage, to evaluate performance of our website, and to keep track of your account settings. Information collected by us may also be used for the following purposes:
(i) to provide you with information in relation to the products and services we provide;
(ii) to send email notifications for special promotions or offers conducted by us;
(iii) to send order updates;
(iv) to conduct marketing activities and to conduct market research;
(v) to respond to your questions or suggestions;
(vi) to improve the quality of our products or services;
(vii) to improve the quality of your visit to our Website; or
(viii) to deliver, measure and improve advertising for our products, including advertising shown on Google and YouTube.
You may opt out of receiving marketing information by notifying us accordingly, or by using any unsubscribe facility we provide for that purpose.
We only send marketing communications to people who have asked to receive them — for example by subscribing to our mailing list or opting in at checkout. We keep a record of that consent. Every marketing email we send identifies us as the sender and contains a working unsubscribe link.
You may also ask us at any time to stop using or disclosing your personal information for direct marketing, and you may ask us to tell you where we obtained your personal information. We will action any such request within a reasonable period and at no cost to you.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Our Website is hosted on Shopify’s secure platform. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a data breach involving your personal information, we will assess it promptly. Where the breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
